- West Ham play Wolverhampton Wanderers in the Premier League tonight at 8PM BST
- The Hammers are set to welcome back a number of players that missed their last game
- Crysencio Summerville is the big name set to feature tonight
West Ham United take on Wolverhampton Wanderers tonight in what is a huge game for their Premier League survival hopes. The Hammers can jump out of the bottom three with a win, putting Tottenham Hotspur into the relegation zone heading into Saturday’s fixtures.
Nuno Espirito Santo’s team head into the game at the London Stadium on the back of penalty shootout loss to Leeds United in the FA Cup. Despite this, the mood in the West Ham camp is good, with many confident of the task in front of them.
Wolves have begun to turn things round under Rob Edwards. Whilst they are almost certainly relegated this season, they look like a more competent team now, winning two of their last five, making the task all that harder for the Hammers.
Here’s who we think will start tonight’s game.
Mads Hermansen (GK)
Mads Hermansen returns after being rested at the weekend. The shot stopper played every minute of Denmark’s World Cup playoff campaign and was given Sunday off, with Alphonse Areola taking his place.
Malick Diouf (LB)
El Hadji Malick Diouf keeps his place after Sunday. The Senegal international looked solid in the game and is an obvious starter.
Axel Disasi (CB)
Axel Disasi is another to keep his place. There was worries the Frenchman had picked up a knock but he is good to go for this massive game.
Konstantinos Mavropanos (CB)
West Ham‘s talisman missed the FA Cup clash with a head injury but is now back and available. Konstantinos Mavropanos comes in ahead of Jean-Clair Todibo who may not be ready to start.
Kyle Walker-Peters (RB)
One of West Ham’s best performers in the FA Cup loss, Kyle Walker-Peters keeps his place. Aaron Wan-Bissaka is now available but Walker-Peters performance earns him another start.
Mateus Fernandes (CDM)
The Portuguese international showed his class at the weekend once again, getting another goal for his tally. Mateus Fernandes starts again.
Tomas Soucek (CDM)
Tomas Soucek returns to the line up after coming off the bench at the weekend. The towering midfielder is so important to the Hammers.
Crysencio Summerville (LW)
The return of the star boy. Crysencio Summerville should be ready to go tonight and if he is, the winger will be in from the off. A huge boost for West Ham.
Adama Traore (CAM)
Adama Traore put on his best performance in an Irons shirt on Sunday and deserves to stay in the team. To accommodate for Summerville, the 30-year-old moves inside to attack more centrally.
Jarrod Bowen (RW)
The captain stays on the right side looking to contribute again. Jarrod Bowen hit the post twice on Sunday, this time he will look to find the net.
Valentin Castellanos (ST)
Valentin Castellanos stays up top. The forward had many chances to score and was unlucky to not find the net. West Ham need to keep feeding him chances.
