West Ham looking to build on Tottenham result
The Hammers made a positive start to the revamped competition last week.
West Ham drew 0-0 with Tottenham before winning the penalty shootout 4-3, with Katie Zelem, Eva Nyström, Kelly Gago and Laia Codina converting from the spot.
The shootout victory earned Guarino’s side the additional point available under the competition format.
They arrive in east London after drawing 1-1 with Nottingham Forest in WSL2 on Sunday.
Guarino could again rotate her squad with another WSL fixture against Chelsea following on Sunday 4 October, although Riko Ueki remains unavailable after being ruled out for several weeks through injury.
West Ham will be looking to strengthen their position in the Players Cup before attention turns back to league action.
