- West Ham host Wolverhampton Wanderers in the Premier League on Friday at 8PM BST
- The Hammers can move out of the bottom three with a win
- Both teams are currently in the relegation zone
West Ham United return to Premier League action on Friday night, as they take on Wolverhampton Wanderers in a huge game in the survival fight. The Hammers sit just one point from safety and will know a good result will take them out of the bottom three going into Saturday’s fixtures.
Nuno Espirito Santo’s team need to pick themselves up after their FA Cup loss to Leeds United on Sunday, but will welcome back several players. West Ham played without several first team players, most of which will be available tomorrow night as the Irons fight for crucial points.
Wolves have seen an upturn in form since the appointment of Rob Edwards at the helm. The move has been seen as one to help the team prepare for next season, with relegation still looking a certainty being that the team are 13 points from safety.
Despite their position, Wolves are no easy opponent. The midlands side won the last meeting between the two sides and have won two of their last five games, including an impressive victory over Liverpool. They will head to the London Stadium looking to give West Ham an even bigger headache.

Prediction
Here, a handful of our writer’s give their prediction for the game…
Matt Bottomley
“West Ham will need to pick themselves up after last week, but showed the fight that could keep them in the Premier League. The mood is good around the squad and the only way to do that is with a win on Friday night. What Nuno’s team cannot afford to do, is start slow as they did against Leeds United.
“For Wolves, almost everything is a free hit, which makes them all the more dangerous. They have been improving week-on-week but the Hammers need revenge for their defeat earlier in the season. This Wolves team are no weak side and will push the Irons from minute one.
“I have a lot of belief that West Ham can win this game, players coming back and the fighting spirit. Wolves will fight hard but the Hammers should prevail.”
Prediction: West Ham 2-0 Wolverhampton Wanderers
