West Ham United host Wolverhampton Wanderers on Friday night, looking to climb their way out of the Premier League’s bottom three. The Hammers sit just one point from safety and know a win over their fellow strugglers would see them out of the relegation zone heading into Saturday’s fixtures.

Unfortunately for Wolves, survival is unlikely for them. Despite being adrift, they have managed to reinvent themselves under Rob Edwards. The midlands team have won two of their last five games, including an impressive win over Liverpool.

West Ham vs Wolverhampton Wanderers – Last five games

Wolverhampton Wanderers 3-0 West Ham – Premier League – 3rd January 2026

In the two team’s last matchup, it ended 3-0 to Wolves. Nuno Espirito Santo could not muster his team as they suffered arguably the worst loss of his Hammers reign.

Jhon Arias, Hwang Hee-Chan and Mateus Mane all scored for the host’s as they ran through a lacklustre Irons team.

Wolverhampton Wanderers 3-2 West Ham – EFL Cup – 26th August 2025

The Irons would lost to Wolves in the very early part of the season, with them handing them an exit from the EFL Cup.

Rodrigo Gomes gave the host’s the lead before goals from Tomas Soucek and Lucas Paqueta flipped the scrip.

It would not be enough for the Hammers as Jorgen Strand Larsen scored two goals in the final ten minutes to send Wolves through.

Wolverhampton Wanderers 1-0 West Ham – Premier League – 1st April 2025

At the end of last season, it would be Wolves who were victorious at Molyneux.

The Hammers were unable to fight back after Strand Larsen netted an early goal. The three points the midland’s team took from this game, went a long way to keeping them in the Premier League that year.

West Ham 2-1 Wolverhampton Wanderers – Premier League – 9th December 2024

The last time the Hammers beat Wolves, and they came to the London Stadium, was in late 2024.

Goals from Jarrod Bowen and Soucek would be enough to see them to three points, with Matt Doherty netting for the away side.

Wolverhampton Wanderers 1-2 West Ham – Premier League – 6th April 2024

The then-David Moyes Hammers would come away 2-1 winners in 2024.

Lucas Paqueta and James Ward-Prowse scored for the Irons as Pablo Sarabia could not find a second goal to save the hosts.
