West Ham United take on Wolverhampton Wanderers tomorrow night as the team’s return to Premier League action. Nuno Espirito Santo was without several first team players for the FA Cup loss to Leeds United, with a number of those players expected to be available for this game.
Crysencio Summerville, Jean-Clair Todibo, Callum Wilson, Aaron Wan-Bissaka, Konstantinos Mavropanos and Mads Hermansen were all not involved on Sunday.
Nuno has stated that all those that were injured are progressing well, with the expectation that Summerville, Todibo and Wilson will be available.
Wan-Bissaka, who returned from International duty late, is fully available. Mavropanos, who was in head injury protocol after taking a knock with Greece, is also fully available for the match with Wolves.
Hermansen was rested after he played 120 minutes twice for Denmark. Tomas Soucek, who’s nation beat Denmark in the World Cup playoff final, was also involved with two games that went the distance, but he did not appear for the full duration.
Further team news
There were fears for Axel Disasi and Adama Traore heading into West Ham‘s game on Friday night.
Those fears have now been cooled as it was revealed that there was no serious injury for either player. Both player’s were taken off in injury time and looked to have picked up knocks, something that now appears to have just been cramp and fatigue.
Alphonse Areola, who was replaced just before the penalty shootout on Sunday, could miss the game as his ankle recovers. Should the goalkeeper miss out, it would give young Finlay Herrick another appearance on the bench after his shootout heroics at the weekend.
Elsewhere, West Ham have no new injury concerns giving Nuno a strong squad to select from as the club host Wolves at the London Stadium, looking to get out of the relegation zone.
