- West Ham are preparing for life in the Championship
- The club must sell a significant number of players before attempting to purchase anyone
- The Hammers are interested in Troyes attacking midfielder Martin Adeline
West Ham United are attempting to prepare for life in the Championship next season. There are many changes on going at the club and until players are sold, moving forward is proving difficult for the Hammers.
Nuno Espirito Santo will stay with West Ham this season, but now has the task of moulding a squad that will be significantly different come the start of the season in August. The Hammers have to raise £150 million this summer and will sell up to nine players in the window.
The recruitment department at the Irons is also going through changes but as is the case with every club this summer, players are still being looked at as potential replacements for those about to depart.
West Ham interested in Troyes Martin Adeline
According to The Daily Mail, West Ham are showing interest in Troyes playmaker, Martin Adeline.
The 22-year-old attacking midfielder played a huge role in helping the French side get promoted to Ligue 1 and his performances have prompted interest from a number of clubs around Europe, with the most high-profile side being the Hammers.
Martin Adeline’s 2025/26 Troyes Statistics
| Appearances | Goals | Assists |
| 36 | 11 | 11 |
The former Paris Saint-Germain youngster netted 11 goals last season, alongside getting 11 assists. The campaign was a breakout one for the attacking midfielder, having only managed four goal involvements in the season prior.
Adeline is only under contract for one more season with Troyes and could be available at a cheaper price given the contract situation. The attacking midfielder would be a wild card, but could also be the exact player that could spark a West Ham promotion campaign when they desperately need one.
