Nuno Espirito Santo to have a say in the new Director of Football at West Ham

West Ham are expected to appoint a Director of Football in the coming weeks as the club’s structure changes going forward.

Head of Technical Recruitment, Maximilian Hahn resigned from his role this week, allowing for change to occur behind the scenes.

As the club look to conclude their search for a new director, it has been reported by The Athletic that Nuno will have a big say in who gets appointed into the role.

Hahn had a say in a number of big signings for West Ham last season and the club now want someone who comes into match the ideals of Nuno, and knows how to recruit in the Championship and above.

The Hammers board are looking to recreate the original success that Aston Villa had when they allowed Unai Emery to bring in many of his counterparts in different role, but on a smaller scale.

The Irons hope to have a their new recruitment department up and running as soon as possible, with the player departures to begin when the window opens.
