West Ham Keen On Arslan

West Ham are considering a move for highly-rated Besiktas midfielder Tolgay Arslan, reports the Mirror.

The 24-year-old was signed by Slaven Bilic while at Besiktas in January 2015, and is now said to be interested in bringing Arslan with him to East London.

Born of German-Turkish descent, Arslan has featured for both nations at U21 level, but is yet to receive a full international cap for either country.

Besiktas signed Arslan to a three-and-a-half year deal, with a one-year option back in January in a reported €450,000 deal from Hamburg.

With his contract set to expire this summer, the midfielder rejected the advances of Arsenal in order to play regular games with Besiktas in Turkey.

He made 22 appearances for Besiktas in the second half of the season, scoring two goals, and is now being eyed by his former manager in a move to West Ham.

West Ham have been dealt blows in deals to sign several different midfielder this week, as Southampton will rival West Ham for PSG’s Yohan Cabaye, as well as news that a deal to sign Lassana Diarra is ‘almost impossible’.
