- Mateus Fernandes, Crysencio Summerville and Jarrod Bowen are being monitored by Liverpool
- Fellow relegation rival Tottenham Hotspur, are also cited with an interest
- The Hammers have no intention of selling the trio, but their stance is predicated on survival
West Ham United’s Premier League status is expected to play a major factor in the club’s summer business, with standout trio Mateus Fernandes, Crysencio Summerville and Jarrod Bowen all being monitored by Liverpool.
According to TEAMtalk, the Hammers are expected to block all approaches for the aforementioned trio, provided they maintain their first division status at the end of the month. TEAMtalk also cites that West Ham are expected to value the three players at a premium, with a quoted figure of £160 million.
Nuno Espírito Santo‘s side are back in action on Saturday lunchtime when they make the short trip to west London to take on Brentford, with a chance to extend their gap ahead of fellow relegation rival Tottenham Hotspur to five points before they play the next day.
West Ham expected to block trio interest if they stay up
Liverpool’s interest in West Ham’s starlets is no surprise, given that the Hammers’ improved second-half season form has been collectively engineered by Fernandes, Summerville and Bowen at various parts of 2026.
At the start of the year, Summerville enjoyed the best run of form in an Irons shirt since signing from Leeds United in 2024, going on a five-game scoring streak that contributed to domestic wins and aided West Ham’s FA Cup quarter-final run.
The mercurial Dutch winger has slowed down since then, but continues to show sparks of skill that have reportedly attracted interest on the continent and placed him in contention for a World Cup spot in the Netherlands squad.
Bowen, long regarded as the club’s standout performer, once again ranks as one of the Premier League’s most productive contributors with eight goals and ten assists and is on course to become the first West Ham player to register 50 assists for the club in the top flight.
Like Bowen, midfielder Fernandes is expected to be in high demand within the division and abroad regardless of West Ham’s end-of-season status.
Premier League 2025/26 Statistics
| Player | Appearance | Goals | Assists |
| Mateus Fernandes | 32 | 3 | 3 |
| Crysencio Summerville | 27 | 5 | 1 |
| Jarrod Bowen | 34 | 8 | 10 |
The Portuguese international has demonstrated composure and class in the middle of the park, with Champions League-calibre clubs circling his availability despite only joining the club last summer.
Spurs also interested depending on relegation status
Depending on their league finish, Spurs are also cited as interested in Summerville and Bowen.
The North London club occupies the final relegation spot in 18th, with the teams below them, Burnley and Wolverhampton Wanderers, already confirmed for the drop.
Retaining their most important assets rather than cashing in is a crucial component of West Ham’s strategy to fully support manager Santo in the upcoming transfer market, but that will hinge on whether they achieve survival with the remaining four league games representing a deciding point in the club’s future.
