West Ham United have been handed a fresh striker-market line to monitor after Mehdi Taremi was named among the senior exits being worked on at Inter.
SempreInter report that agent Federico Pastorello is handling a wider Inter clearance drive, with Taremi drawing interest from Besiktas, Fulham and West Ham.
That does not make a Hammers move advanced. It does, however, place Nuno Espirito Santo’s side back in the conversation for an experienced centre-forward at a time when the squad still needs reliable goals.
Taremi has also remained visible during the 2026 World Cup. Al Jazeera reported last month that Iran’s trip to Seattle was delayed after Taremi and assistant coach Saeed Alhoei were held up by US officials.
Taremi Raises Short-Term West Ham Question
The appeal is clear enough. West Ham have already been testing the striker market, with ReadWestHam covering how Pape Moussa Fall interest gives Nuno another forward call.
Taremi would represent a very different profile. He is older, proven and far more likely to be judged on immediate impact than resale value.
That can work in the Championship, but only if the financial terms make sense. West Ham need goals quickly, yet they cannot afford another short-term forward gamble that blocks younger recruitment or eats into wage-room better used elsewhere.
Nuno’s brief is not simply to add names. He needs players who can lift the level from day one and fit the reality of a promotion campaign.
Taremi is a name to watch if Inter push seriously for an exit and the numbers soften. Anything expensive or long-term would make less sense for a West Ham rebuild that still needs balance, legs and future value.
The striker market remains open. West Ham should monitor the opportunity without letting the name override the plan.
