AC Milan have joined the growing list of clubs, including West Ham, in the race to sign PSV midfielder Georginio Wijnadum.
Dutch source De Telegraaf claim that the San Siro club have made enquiries into the availability of Wijnaldum, who captained PSV to the Eredivisie title last season.
The 24-year-old has been heavily linked with a move to the Premier League this summer, with both the League’s North East clubs, Newcastle and Sunderland said to be considering a move.
The attacking midfielder was reportedly subject to a £11m bid from Sunderland, which has been turned down. West Ham then also were said to be keen, but as of yet no move has been made.
18 goals and five assists from Wijnadlum last season is an excellent return from a midfielder, which is the one area of the pitch West Ham need some more production from.
However, the addition of Dimitri Payet could mean the club won’t push as hard to sign the Dutchman.
