West Ham Plot Move For N’Zonzi

West Ham are one of several clubs considering  summer swoop for Stoke City midfielder Steven N’Zonzi, reports the Mirror.

Stoke have already turned down a ‘derisory’ £3m offer from Sevilla, but with his contract expiring next summer, they will consider offers of around £6m.

The 26-year-old signed for the Potters following Blackburn’s relegation to The Championship, and has been a key performer in their rise up the table under Mark Hughes.

Aston Villa and West Brom are both reportedly keen on signing the former France U21 international, who is an expert in the holding role and is hoping to break into the hotly contested midfield in the French national squad ahead of next summer’s European Championships, which they are hosting.

West Ham had been perennially linked with a move for N’Zonzi during Allardyce’s tenure at the club, as he was the man who initially brought him to England during his time with Blackburn.

Any deal does hinge on the potential arrival of Alex Song, who is still in talks over a move from Barcelona.
