West Ham Interested In Angol

West Ham have joined the race to sign highly-rated Luton Town forward Lee Angol, reports HITC.

The 20-year-old striker was signed by Luton last summer on a free transfer from Wycombe Wanderers, but loaned him straight out to Boreham Wood.

Angol scored 25 goals in 39 games for Boreham Wood, helping them clinch promotion from the Conference South back into the fifth tier of English football.

It’s said Angol has snubbed a new deal with Luton, as his current deal expires this summer, and will listen to offers from a host of larger clubs.

Nottingham Forest were hopeful of signing him, but due to FFP regulations, they could not offer an acceptable compensation deal to Luton.

Now, Premier League sides Crystal Palace and West Ham are looking to snap up the promising youngster.

However, Bournemouth, Brentford, Charlton and MK Dons are all also monitoring the situation.
