West Ham winger Edvin Austbo supplied an assist as Norway Under-21s thrashed Bosnia and Herzegovina 6-1 to secure their place at next summer’s European Championship.
The summer signing started Tuesday’s qualifier and played 85 minutes, enjoying a productive return to Stavanger after leaving Viking for east London.
According to West Ham’s official international round-up, Austbo created the goal that put Norway ahead just before half-time.

Bosnia took an early lead through Matej Deket before Sindre Walle Egeli equalised.
Austbo then supplied Egeli’s second, turning the match in Norway’s favour before the interval.
The hosts pulled away late on. Egeli completed his hat-trick, Niklas Ødegård scored twice and Jens Hjertø-Dahl also found the net.
Norway’s fifth victory in seven qualifiers secured automatic qualification for the 2027 finals in Albania and Serbia.
Encouragement for Nuno after summer signing
For West Ham, the useful takeaway is Austbo combining substantial playing time with a decisive attacking contribution.
The Hammers completed his signing from Viking in August, adding another wide option to Nuno Espírito Santo’s squad.
An international assist does not settle his place in West Ham’s starting XI. However, creating Norway’s go-ahead goal offers encouragement as he continues adapting to his new club.
With qualification secured and another lengthy appearance completed, Austbo has made productive use of the international break.
