West Ham are bracing themselves for a £15m bid from Sampdoria for striker Enner Valencia, claims the Daily Mail.
Sampdoria club president Massimo Ferrero had flew to London to strike a deal with the Hammers to swap Valencia for midfielder Pedro Obiang, but it now appears that the two clubs have agreed a fee for Obiang’s outright transfer.
Valencia signed for West Ham last summer in a £12m deal from Mexican side Pachuca after impressing at the World Cup, scoring all three of Ecuador’s goals at the competition.
However, despite some impressive performances, has only scored four league goals in 32 games for the club, which isn’t exactly the return the club were hoping for.
Chelsea are also reportedly interested in signing the 25-year-old, but West Ham will only let him go for a decent profit.
