West Ham academy product Sebastian Lletget looks set to leave the club this summer, with a move to the MLS on the cards, according to Goal USA.
It’s said that the Galaxy were close to agreeing terms with the 22-year-old attacking midfielder, which would see him join the club on a free transfer upon the expiry of his deal at West Ham, which is at the end of next month.
The Galaxy will pay roughly $50,000 in allocation money to the New England Revolution, who had previously put in a discovery claim on the midfielder, the report claims.
Negotiations between Lletget and the Galaxy have reportedly been ongoing for several months, but an agreement is seemingly on the horizon. He’ll be joining Liverpool’s Steven Gerrard in swapping the Premier League for the MLS this summer.
Lletget has been part of the Hammers academy for five years, which has seen him been named in the match-day squad several times, and make one senior appearance in the FA Cup drubbing at the hands of Nottingham Forest last season.
