It’s said that a move for the former Coventry City product entirely relies upon Derby not gaining promotion this season.
Capped by the Republic of Ireland last year, Christie is seen as a hot property within footballing circles.
West Ham have had success raiding the Championship for fullbacks of late, having found a diamond in the rough in Aaron Cresswell, with the former Ipswich left-back tipped for Hammer of the Year in his first year in the top flite.
