West Ham goalkeeper Mads Hermansen remained an unused substitute as Denmark beat Wales 2-0 on Sunday, leaving him without an appearance in their opening two Nations League matches.
Brian Riemer retained Filip Jørgensen in goal after the opening defeat against Norway. The goalkeeper responded with a clean sheet at Parken Stadium.
Sky Sports’ match record confirms Hermansen stayed on the bench throughout the victory.
A Ben Davies own goal and Gustav Isaksen’s second-half strike secured Denmark’s first points of the campaign.
Mads Hermansen Denmark wait continues
The latest selection follows Riemer’s explanation of his decision against Norway.
Before that match, the Denmark manager highlighted Jørgensen’s reach as a factor against Norway’s aerial threat. Those comments concerned the opening fixture and do not establish why he retained his place against Wales.
The Football Association of Wales’ report confirms Riemer made only one change to his starting side following the 3-2 defeat in Oslo.
Hermansen therefore faces continued competition for international minutes, with two further fixtures remaining before he returns to West Ham.
Denmark host Portugal on Thursday 1 October before travelling to Wales on Sunday 4 October, according to West Ham’s official international schedule.
For Hermansen, Thursday brings the next opportunity to regain the starting position. West Ham then resume their Championship campaign against QPR on Friday 9 October.
