Connor Brooks signs new West Ham contract until 2028

West Ham United midfielder Connor Brooks has signed a new contract which will keep him at the club until the summer of 2028.

The Hammers also hold an option to extend the agreement by a further year.

Brooks joined West Ham from Concord Rangers last summer and made more than 20 appearances during his first season in the academy setup.

The 18-year-old also returned to Concord for a short loan spell during the early part of the 2025/26 campaign. He later featured twice in the FA Youth Cup and helped West Ham Under-17s win the Premier League Cup.

West Ham’s official announcement confirmed that Brooks has now stepped up to train with Mark Robson’s Under-21 squad at Rush Green.

Brooks described the contract as a proud moment for himself and his family after completing his first full season in a professional academy.

The midfielder believes his initial loan back to Concord helped him adjust after making the move from non-league football.

He has since trained alongside older academy players at Rush Green and hopes to make his Premier League 2 debut during the coming season.

Academy director Kenny Brown praised Brooks’ attitude, application and versatility. The teenager featured in several positions for the Under-18s before earning his opportunity with Robson’s group.

West Ham have continued to secure the futures of promising academy players, with Read West Ham previously covering Lewis Beckford’s first professional contract.

Brooks will now look to establish himself at Under-21 level while training close to Nuno Espírito Santo’s first-team squad.

The midfielder has already highlighted West Ham’s academy pathway as a major motivation. His new deal gives him the chance to continue that progress over the next two seasons.
