  • West Ham sit one point from Premier League safety
  • Jarrod Bowen is willing to stay if they can stay up
  • Liverpool and Chelsea are interested in the England winger

West Ham United are one point from Premier League safety with three games to go. The Hammers loss of Saturday, combined with Tottenham Hotspurs win on following day, has seen them fall back into the bottom three.

Nuno Espirito Santo’s men can still escape their fate, but it is no longer up to them, they will now have to do their part and rely on Spurs slipping up. West Ham take on Arsenal this weekend, before Newcastle United and Leeds United, to put it lightly, there are no easy games.

With a season like the Irons of had, it is understandable that a lot will look for the exit door, but one stalwart wants to stay, on the condition they make the escape in the next three matches.

Jarrod Bowen wants to stay if West Ham can stay up

According to TALKsport, West Ham captain Jarrod Bowen is willing to stay, if the team can stay in the Premier League.

Whilst the 29-year-old has made his love for the Hammers clear, he still harbours England dreams and to keep that open, he needs to be playing top flight football. The winger has been heavily linked with Liverpool all season and now it appears the only way he will stay in East London, is if they can avoid the drop.

There’s no understating just how important Bowen has been to club over the years, including this season. Whilst it has not been his best by his own standards, he now leads the Premier League in goal involvements for Englishmen.

Bowen has ten goals and 11 assists this season, sitting third in the league for assists. If anyone can help the Irons out of the bottom three, then it lies at his feet.

With the 29-year-old’s importance to everything the Hammers do, his future at the club is more than in his own hands.

matchday.
