West Ham vs Arsenal could now be the decider for both ends of the Premier League table, after Monday night’s result

This weekend, Arsenal will head to the London Stadium looking to take one step closer to the Premier League table with a win over West Ham United. For the Hammers, they now sit one point in the relegation zone, and know a loss could leave them four points from safety with just two games to go.

And now the game will have even more riding on it. Manchester City‘s dramatic draw with Everton on Monday night means that Arsenal can have one hand on the title if they take three points from East London on Sunday afternoon.

If the pressure wasn’t already at boiling point, it is now.

But, there is a silver lining for West Ham. The dropping of two points for the Cityzens now means the Gunners can follow suit, knowing that City’s game in hand would not let them overtake them. The question is, can the Hammers take the initiative?

All eyes on West Ham vs Arsenal

Mikel Arteta’s Arenal are hitting their mojo and the 3-0 win over Fulham spells that out. Tonight, the Gunners face Atletico Madrid for a place in the Champions League final. Winning on multiple fronts is never easy, everyone know this, and this Sunday’s game could decide a lot of things.

Should Arsenal take three points from the London Stadium, then the title is almost theirs and the likelihood is that Tottenham Hotspur take another step towards safety. Define nightmare for West Ham.

Here’s the thing, the Hammers haven’t lost in their last nine home games in all competitions, a run that stretches back to the beginning of January. Time and time again, Nuno Espirito Santo has reiterated the importance of home performances, and everyone has delivered.

This Sunday is pivotal. It could decide almost everything.

If Arsenal secure all three points, it all but ends Manchester City’s title hunt. If West Ham upset the party, the survival beacon stays lit and once again the Premier League merry go round continues.

matchday.
