West Ham Leading The Race For Pato

Reports suggest that former AC Milan forward Alexandre Pato has been offered to a host of Premier League clubs, including West Ham.

According to Mail Online, the player has been offered to a number of ‘mid-level’ Premier League clubs, with West Ham and Crystal Palace leading the race. The Brazilian is reportedly interested in a move to a ‘big city’.

At 17, he was billed as Brazil’s next big star as he made the move to AC Milan from Internacional in 2007. Alexandre Pato’s career in Europe was hampered by a string of injuries, including a thigh muscle tear, as he returned to his homeland in 2013.

Despite his problems with injuries, the forward boasts a more than satisfactory record in front of goal, with 51 goals in 117 games for AC Milan. Pato could end West Ham’s so far unsuccessful search for a new forward.

The former Brazil striker who has 27 caps for his country, spent last season at Sao Paolo playing 29 games and scoring 10 goals.
