West Ham are growing increasingly confident of securing the signings of PSG midfielder Yohan Cabaye and Chelsea striker Loic Remy this summer, reports GFN France, quoting L’Equipe.
The French duo spent a season together at Newcastle before they went their separate ways, and could yet again be reunited in the Premier League with Upton Park.
L’Equipe say the Hammers have made their interest more defined in the players and will press on with negotiations, once the transfer of Marseille attacker Dimtri Payet is completed.
The club were hoping to bring wantaway PSG midfielder Yohan Cabaye back to England after he admitted he needs to leave the club for regular game time, but earlier this month it was claimed that West Ham were skeptical of completing a deal because they thought PSG would ask for too much in return.
It’s a similar situation for Chelsea striker Loic Remy, who’s been linked with a move to Crystal Palace as well this summer. The rapid forward was seen as the ideal strike-partner for Diafra Sakho, but again a deal never materialised.
