Hammers Take Arsenal Defender On Trial

West Ham have taken highly-rated Arsenal academy defender on trial during pre-season, confirms KUMB.

The teenage defender is a centre-back by trade, but can also cover in defensive midfield. KUMB reveal that the 17-year-old wishes to leave the Arsenal set-up this summer, as he deems first-team opportunities too hard to come by in the near future, and the Hammers hope to tie up a deal for the player.

He was pictured here in recent times in West Ham training gear, having joined up with the squad at Chadwell Heath.

He made his first appearance for the Arsenal youth team in the 2012/13 season, and has featured for the U21 squad in recent times, and joins Jordan Brown as a former Arsenal youngster coming to East London.

Although, transfers have been going in the opposite direction, as last summer promising England U16 midfielder Ben Sheaf moved to the Emirates, and signing his first pro-deal with Arsenal in February 2015.
