West Ham Say No To £5m Song Deal

West Ham’s board is keen on signing former Arsenal player Alex Song. He played at the Boleyn in 2014/2015-season, where his form was incredible in the first half of the season, but dipped after Christmas. His current club Barcelona wants to sell him, having a two-year contract remaining.

New manager Slaven Bilic wants to add him to his squad to provide more depth for their upcoming European adventure. The Croatian needs quality players in every position to compete in all competitions next season.

However, the Hammers are unwilling to pay the £5 million price tag for the Cameroonian midfielder, since they already have to pay his £70000 weekly salary.

Chelsea and Manchester City are also keen on signing the player, however it is not believed that this interest in genuine.
