West Ham are weighing up a move for free agent midfielder Esteban Cambiasso, reports the Standard.
The 34-year-old signed on a one-year deal with Leicester last season, and was named their Player of the Season following an excellent spell which helped them survive.
With numerous footballing honours including La Liga titles, Serie A victories and Champions League’s triumphs during his time with Real Madrid and Inter Milan, he has a very strong pedigree within the game.
The former Argentina international is reportedly weighing up an offer from Leicester to stay on another season, but at his age, he might fancy a different challenge, perhaps in the form of a Europa League campaign with West Ham.
The Hammers tried to sign him last summer, before snubbing their advances, but is open to a switch this summer.
