West Ham Will Name Manager Next Week

West Ham will unveil their new manager next week, according to reports.

The Hammers won just three Premier League games in Sam Allardyce’s last 21 games as manager, and his contract was rightly not renewed at the end of the season.

The club have held talks on some level with several managers, but Frank De Boer and Marcelo Bielsa appear to be out of the running, as is Rafa Benitez, who is the new Real Madrid boss.

It appears to be down to two men – Unai Emery and Slaven Bilic, with the former expected to fly over for talks with the club about taking the job.

However, the two-time Europa League winner also has an offer from Napoli, but his current club Sevilla are keen to tie him down to a new deal with a major pay rise.

Now, all signs point to former Besiktas manager Bilic, who was a West Ham player nearly two decades ago.

The 46-year-old has enjoyed great success with the Turkish side in recent seasons, and is adored by the fan base, who gave their emotional goodbye to Bilic today as he boarded a flight out of the country.

If the club cannot persuade Emery to become their new manager, with a reported €6m-a-year contract on the table, then Bilic will almost certainly be the new West Ham manager.
