West Ham have made a second approach to Ajax boss Frank de Boer to become the club’s next manager, according to the Express.
They claim that the Hammers made an initial approach for de Boer several days ago but were rebuffed, but David Gold has made a big push to get talks underway again.
Last night reports broke that Marseille manager Marcelo Bielsa was going to take the reigns at West Ham, amid speculation that he was going to sign a new two-year contract at the club.
However, it seems that the club hierarchy are again keen on bringing in de Boer, who has also been linked with the vacant Newcastle job, and are willing to give him a raise on his £2m-a-year wages.
The club are also in talks with Slaven Bilic, who will leave Besiktas this summer, as the race to become West Ham’s next manager gets harder to predict by the day.
