Loan Watch: April 27th

Another week, another round of fixtures for the Hammers out on loan around Europe in their bid for regular first-team football and further development of their game.

Striker Modibo Maiga played 82 minutes for FC Metz during their 1-1 draw against Bordeaux, which saw him go up against former Hammer Julien Faubert.

Fellow striker Sean Maguire also failed to net as he played 84 minutes for Accrington Stanley as they lost 4-0 to Dagenham and Redbridge last weekend.

Elliot Lee’s Luton side also suffered defeat last week, as he featured for an hour during the Hatters’ 2-0 loss away at Southend United.

Paul McCallum was given several minutes in added time for Portsmouth as they ran out 2-1 winners over Mansfield Town in League Two.

Jaanai Gordon an Nuneaton Town were on the wrong end of an 8-goal thriller split 5-3, which saw Chester take all three points on the final day of the Conference season. He has since returned to West Ham.

And finally, Tim Brown played the full 90 mins for Isthmian Premier Division side Canvey Island as they beat Wingate and Finchley 3-2.
