AS Monaco striker Dimitar Berbatov wants one last crack at the Premier League as he begins to enter the latter stages of his career, says the Daily Mail.
The former Manchester United, Tottenham and Fulham striker impressed last week against Arsenal in the Champions League, reminding everyone that he still has star quality.
However, with Monaco still a long way off competing in their domestic division, it’s said that Berbatov wants a return to the Premier League next season when his contract expires with the Ligue 1 side.
Still owning a house in Chigwell, Essex, the 34-year-old Bulgarian would consider a move to either West Ham or Crystal Palace should either side show interest in him over the summer.
With Carlton Cole expected to leave, and plenty of suitors out there for Diafra Sakho and Enner Valencia, it’s not out of the question for West Ham to bring in a guy like Berbatov to add depth and bring some Premier League experience.
