This transfer story has turned into somewhat of a pseudo-saga this month, as West Ham continue their chase of highly-rated Hamilton left back Stephen Hendrie.
The Daily Mail are reporting that West Ham’s once dead move for the 19-year-old defender is now back on, with the Scot due in London later this week to discus personal terms and conduct a medical.
Crystal Palace, Reading, Bournemouth and Celtic have all shown interest in the £2m-rated Scotland U21 international, but it appears as if West Ham will finally get this deal done – having seemingly agreed a deal over three weeks ago.
Hamilton vice-chairman Ronnie McDonald was livid at West Ham for failing to show up to final talks regarding the transfer earlier in the window, and declared the deal dead as a result, but owner David Sullivan has managed to smooth over negotiations in recent days.
The move for Hendrie likely means that youngster Danny Potts will move on this month, and has been in talks with Blackpool over a move.
