West Ham United have returned to Rush Green for the first major pre-season block of Nuno Espirito Santo’s promotion campaign.
West Ham confirmed that the men’s squad are back in training today. The club said Rush Green was busy again as the players reported for the start of the new campaign.
The return marks the first full step in Nuno’s preparation for the Championship season. West Ham are rebuilding after relegation and still have several squad decisions to make before the fixtures begin.
Most of the summer programme will stay at Rush Green. The club will then travel for two away fixtures, with Rangers confirming a friendly at Ibrox on Sunday, 26 July.
West Ham have also confirmed a fixture against 1. FC Magdeburg to complete their pre-season schedule.

The early schedule gives Nuno a useful balance.
Rush Green allows the coaching staff to rebuild fitness, work on structure and assess which senior players fit the promotion plan. The Rangers and Magdeburg fixtures should then give West Ham sharper external tests before the Championship campaign starts.
