  • West Ham sit two points from Premier League safety
  • A number of players are expected to leave
  • Jarrod Bowen could stay even if the team are relegated

West Ham United currently sit two points from safety, with just two Premier League games to go. A controversial 1-0 loss to Arsenal has damaged the Hammers survival hopes and whilst their fate is not in their own hands, West Ham can still survive.

In the second-half of this season, many of Nuno Espirito Santo’s team have stepped up, giving the Hammers a chance, when at the beginning of 2026, the side looked like they had a foot in the Championship. With excelling performances, comes interest, and with the Irons far from safe, those teams feel like they can wait and get the stars at a cut price option.

The likes of Mateus Fernandes and Konstantinos Mavropanos could be on their way even if Nuno’s men stay up this season, but one of the bigger question marks, is club captain Jarrod Bowen.

Jarrod Bowen could stay at West Ham even if they are relegated

It seemed a done deal that Bowen would move on if West Ham are relegated this season, but, according to TEAMtalk its now appears that the 29-year-old could remain at the London Stadium in the Championship.

England international Bowen is said to be happy with his life in London, and whilst he still harbours dreams of staying in the England team, knows moving on from the Hammers would not guarantee him minutes at any club.

Both Liverpool and Chelsea have voiced their interest in the winger and are expected to make a move for the player even if the Irons remain in the top flight. Yet still, both sides may be rebuffed in their interest, should Bowen choose to remain at the club he loves so much.

Manchester United, Aston Villa, Newcastle United and Everton are also said to be interested in West Ham’s captain.
