- West Ham currently sit two points above the Premier League bottom three
- The club will have to sell some players this summer
- Chelsea lead the race for Jarrod Bowen
West Ham United drew 0-0 with Crystal Palace last night to take one step closer to Premier League safety. There is still a long way to go in the Hammers survival fight but regardless of league position, the club face an uncertain summer.
West Ham know they will have to sell some player at the end of the season as they look to balance the books. This means, that no matter what, a number of squad players are in the shop window as the campaign comes to a close.
Matues Fernandes and Crysencio Summerville are two of the names that could command big fees in the summer but another name on the list is club captain, Jarrod Bowen. The 29-year-old is having a strong season and is being touted for a summer move should the Hammers fail to beat the drop.
Liverpool have long-standing interest in the player but it has now been revealed that another Premier League side lead the way for the England international.
Chelsea lead the chase for Jarrod Bowen
According to Football Insider, it is Chelsea who are now at the front of the queue in the race for Bowen.
29-year-old Bowen has no plans to leave West Ham at all but depending on the club’s league status and his England ambitions, he may have no choice. Bowen is seen as a really valuable asset and could command a strong fee, forcing the club and player’s hand.
Jarrod Bowen’s 2025/26 West Ham United Statistics
| Appearances | Goals | Assists |
| 37 | 10 | 9 |
Chelsea see the England international as a strong Premier League option. The Blues are fighting for a Champions League place this season but believe the squad lacks experience in this division and the grit to get things done.
The Chelsea hierarchy believe Bowen is everything they are after and could look to pull the trigger on a move this summer.
