- West Ham take on Crystal Palace on Monday night in the Premier League
- The Hammers sit one point above the relegation zone
- Nuno Espirito Santo’s team beat Wolverampton Wanderers 4-0 last week
West Ham United’s survival fight continues on Monday night as they take on Crystal Palace at Selhurst Park. The Hammers beat Wolverhampton Wanderers 4-0 in their last Premier League game to take them out of the bottom three, where they remain after Tottenham Hotspur failed to win on Saturday evening.
Nuno Espirito Santo’s side put on one of their best performances last Friday and head into this game with not only confidence, but a clean bill of health with the full squad available.
Crystal Palace are all but safe in the top flight and made it through in the Europa Conference League on Thursday night. West Ham will be hoping for some tired legs as they go in search of three points tomorrow.
Here’s who we think will start the game on Monday night.
Mads Hermansen (GK)
Mads Hermansen had little to do last week but makes the back line all that calmer. The Danish shot stopper stays in the XI.
Malick Diouf (LB)
A mediocre night by his standards for El Hadji Malick Diouf last time out but the Senegalese remains in.
Axel Disasi (CB)
Outstanding as always, there is no way Axel Disasi is dropping out, continuing his run of playing every game.
Konstantinos Mavropanos (CB)
His future may be unknown but two goals for Konstantinos Mavropanos makes the defender un-droppable going forward.
Kyle Walker-Peters (RB)
Got the nod over Aaron Wan-Bissaka last week and took his chance. Kyle Walker-Peters stays in the XI and could be the team’s answer at RB going forward.
Mateus Fernandes (CDM)
A quieter night for Mateus Fernandes in the win over Wolves as his teammates took some of the pressure off him. Still the best midfielder in the West Ham squad.
Tomas Soucek (CDM)
It’s easy to forget all the things Tomas Soucek does for this Hammers team but it is so important. To do all the hard yards, Soucek is going nowhere.
Crysencio Summerville (LW)
Clearly getting back up to speed in the game with Wolves, Crysencio Summerville stays in and will most likely have more of an impact.
Pablo Felipe (CAM)
An assist for Pablo Felipe last time out as he continues to build a partnership with Valentin Castellanos. The Brazilian stays in to keep the South American connection going.
Jarrod Bowen (RW)
The captain got two assists last week and keeps having an impact, even if he says it is below his standards. Jarrod Bowen‘s performances are so important to West Ham.
Valentin Castellanos (ST)
A break out game against Wolves, Valentin Castellanos is full of confidence and long may it continue.
Hermansen (GK); Diouf; Disasi; Mavropanos; Walker-Peters; Fernandes; Soucek; Summerville; Pablo; Bowen; Castellanos
