West Ham star Dimitri Payet is ‘happy at the club’ according to his agent Mark McKay who spoke with Sky Sports News this afternoon amid transfer links to the likes of Real Madrid, Barcelona, PSG, Manchester City, Chelsea and Arsenal.
The attacking midfielder won the Hammer of the Year award in his first season with the club following his £10.5m move from Marseille last summer.
His fine form earned him a place in the PFA Team of the Year as well as a recall to the France national squad culminating in Didier Deschamps selecting him in his final 23-man squad for Euro 2016.

Payet has carried his level of performances into the tournament and starred for the hosts in their opening game against Romania where his 25-yard effort secured a 2-1 victory for France in the 89th minute of the game.
To no-one’s surprise, Payet’s performances have caught the eye of many of Europe’s elite clubs. Atletico Madrid were the latest club to be linked with a move for the 29-year-old, while rivals Real Madrid are said to have launched a bid to sign the playmaker.
Arsenal and Barcelona have also been credited with an interest in making a move for the former Lille man. Incoming Manchester City manager Pep Guardiola wants Payet to be his marquee signing at the Etihad this summer, and Antonio Conte is looking to make a big splash this summer at Stamford Bridge and has eyed up a move for our star man.

However, his agent Mark McKay told Sky Sports News today that his client is ‘happy at West Ham’ and he believes the Hammers got a bargain when they signed him a year ago.
I think so, I think Dave Sullivan has done really well. £10.5 million? Now he could be any price you wanted after his performances. As far as I’m concerned he’s been happy at West Ham. It’s down to West Ham that he’s in the position he is right now, he’s doing great for France. To get him now, you’ll have to be talking ridiculous money. But football’s football, you never know.
West Ham are said to have put a £60m valuation on Dimitri Payet this summer while maintaining he is absolutely not for sale. It remains to be seen if any of Europe’s big clubs are prepared to pay top dollar for the ageing superstar who’s at the peak of his powers.
