West Ham United will look to continue their strong Championship form when they host Southampton at the London Stadium on Saturday afternoon.
The Hammers have won their last two games, and go into the Saints clash unbeaten in the last nine league fixtures.
If they make it 10 in a row on Saturday, it will be the first time that feat has been achieved at the London Stadium, since a previous run at Upton Park in 2015/16.
Nuno’s team are on the up, now in second place just one point behind leaders Swansea City.
Southampton will be determined to make their own statement this weekend, so it’s all set up to be a cracking Championship duel, as reflected in the form guide.
The South Coast club go into this one unbeaten in their last three, with no goals conceded across those two wins and one draw.
Team news & key players
Nuno Espírito Santo has no new injury worries for Saturday’s big game.
A largely settled Hammers squad goes into this one full of confidence and aiming to increase the momentum of recent games.
Keiber Lamadrid remains on the sidelines, but Nuno said the Venezuelan is close to returning to training.
Apart from that, “all the other boys are options for Saturday’s game”, said the Hammers boss at Friday’s press conference.
The same can’t be said for Southampton, with Tonda Eckert having to do without some key players, including former West Ham midfielder Flynn Downes.
Cyle Larin and Caspar Jander will be subject to late fitness tests.
