West Ham have reportedly taken highly-rated Rubin Kazan striker Marko Livaja on trial this pre-season.
Reports in Russia are suggesting that the Hammers have invited the Croatian U21 forward to England to join up with the first-team during their pre-season schedule, ahead of a possible loan move with a view to make it permanent next summer.
The 21-year-old joined Russian side Rubin Kazan last summer for a reported fee of €5m from Serie A outfit Atalanta, but has failed to impress during his debut season with the club, and was unable to score in 11 appearances in all competitions.
Slaven Bilic is very familiar with the young striker during his time working with the Croatian national set-up, and wants to give the young forward a chance in English football, but wants to see what he has before finalising a loan deal.
West Ham are being very active in the striker market this summer, as talks are ongoing with Manchester United and Javier Hernandez over a possible switch to Upton Park, in addition to pondering a cash plus player(s) offer to QPR for striker Charlie Austin.
