West Ham have joined the hotly contested race to sign Inter Milan midfielder Zdravko Kuzmanovic on loan this summer.
Italian source Gazzetta dello Sport claim that the Serbian will leave the San Siro during this offseason due to Inter’s imminent midfield additions of AS Monaco’s Geoffrey Kondogbia and Marseille’s Gianelli Imbulla, while Fredy Guarin, Hernandes and Juan Jesus are all allowed to leave for the right price.
The 27-year-old is also wanted by a host of other clubs, including Premier League new-boys Watford, as well as Bundesliga trio Schalke, Borussia Monchengladbach and Werder Bremen.
Kuzmanovic has made 55 appearances in two-and-a-half seasons in Serie A with Inter, scoring one goal since his move from Stuttgart in 2013. He’s also made 51 international appearances for Serbia, scoring six times.
West Ham have been linked with a move for the bit-part player in recent seasons, both on loan and on a permanent basis, but no move ever materialised.
The Hammers, keen to add to their midfield ranks, are also considering a move for £6m-rate Stoke midfielder Steven N’Zonzi, but face competition from West Brom and Aston Villa.
