West Ham are preparing a bid for Brighton & Hove Albion defender Lewis Dunk, according to reports.
The 23-year-old centre-back has been a standout performer for the Seagulls this season, despite their 20th placed finish in the Championship.
A price-tag of £5m has been placed on the Englishman’s head, who has a very strong friendship with a number of West Ham players, including Mark Noble.
Tottenham, Newcastle, Everton, Stoke and West Brom have all been linked with Dunk in the last year or so, as have fellow Championship sides Derby and Blackburn.
Brighton’s 2014/15 runner-up in their Player of the Season voting appears set to leave the Amex Stadium this summer, and will have his pick of clubs.
