Irons Face Competition For Hernandez

West Ham have some stiff competition in the race to sign Manchester United striker Javier Hernandez in the summer, claims the Daily Mail.

The 26-year-old is not wanted next season at United, with Louis van Gaal ready to offload the Mexican, who has only a year left on his contract.

Chicharito has made a career out of scoring dramatic late goals, and continued that for Real Madrid, where his 88th min goal against rivals Atletico Madrid sent Real through to the semi-finals of the Champions League.

Despite being shipped out on a seasons loan to Real, Hernandez has only been a bit-part player at the Bernabeu, and they aren’t interested in keeping him next season.

A number of Premier League clubs are keen on signing Hernandez, including Stoke, Everton, Newcastle and Southampton, who could be available for as little as £8m.
