Bielsa Top Man To Replace Allardyce

West Ham are lining up an approach to bring in Marcelo Bielsa as the club’s new manager, if they let Sam Allardyce walk in the summer, according to the Mirror.

Allardyce is set to leave the club at the end of the season with his contract expiring this summer, and Bielsa leads the list of candidates tipped to replace him.

Co-owners David Gold and David Sullivan are keen that whoever is in charge next season will encourage an exciting brand of football, and believe the Marseille boss could fulfil that demand.

Bielsa has been labelled “the best coach on the planet” by Pep Guardiola and his attacking philosophy would bring a new dimension to the Premier League.

Enjoying success in Ligue 1 this season with Marseille, the 59-year-old’s future remains in question beyond this season.

Real Sociedad boss David Moyes has been touted as a priority target for the Hammers if they search for a successor to Allardyce but he would not be interested in a switch to East London.

Slaven Bilic, Michael Laudrup and Gus Poyet have also been linked with the job.
