Riko Ueki Ruled Out for Weeks in West Ham Injury Blow

West Ham United Women will be without Riko Ueki for the next few weeks after Rita Guarino confirmed the forward suffered an injury against Everton.

Ueki was absent from Wednesday’s Subway Players Cup victory over Tottenham and will now miss Sunday’s Women’s Super League trip to Manchester United.

Speaking ahead of the fixture, Guarino confirmed the extent of Ueki’s absence.

“Riko Ueki is out for a few weeks with an injury she picked up against Everton,” the West Ham head coach said.

Ueki Set to Miss Manchester United Clash

Ueki started West Ham’s 1-0 defeat against Everton last weekend before being unavailable for the midweek cup game.

Her absence gives Guarino another attacking decision to make against Manchester United.

Ebony Salmon started against Tottenham and is now a leading option to come into the WSL side, with our West Ham Women predicted XI covering the likely changes.

There is better news concerning Ffion Morgan.

Guarino said the Wales international is “working hard to come back”, while West Ham’s latest training update confirms Morgan has returned to the grass with the first-team squad.

No return date has yet been confirmed for either player.

West Ham face Manchester United at 1pm BST on Sunday, with viewing information available in our TV channel and live stream guide.
