West Ham United enter Transfer Deadline Day with several pieces of business still unresolved as Nuno Espírito Santo waits to discover the final shape of his squad.
The EFL has confirmed that the summer transfer window closes at 11pm BST on Tuesday 1 September, leaving the Hammers with one final day to complete deals.
West Ham have already announced Edvin Austbø, but defensive reinforcements remain high on the agenda.
What time does the transfer window close today?
The EFL transfer deadline is 11pm BST tonight.
That gives West Ham until late on Tuesday to register any further permanent or loan arrivals.
The Hammers have opened talks with Nottingham Forest over Morato, while they have also explored moves for Ryan Giles and Josha Vagnoman.
Mikel Gogorza remains another player to watch after West Ham prepared a third proposal following two rejected bids.
West Ham’s remaining business is expected to lean heavily towards loans after completing the permanent signing of Austbø.
There could also be departures, with Soungoutou Magassa among those facing an uncertain future.
Adding to the drama, West Ham host Wolves at 7.45pm tonight, meaning Nuno will be managing a crucial Championship match while the transfer window enters its final hours.
By 11pm, West Ham’s promotion squad will finally be locked in.
