When does the transfer window close? West Ham deadline explained

West Ham United have only a few days left to complete their summer transfer business, with the 2026 Premier League transfer deadline now approaching quickly.

The summer window will close at 11pm BST on Tuesday 1 September, giving West Ham until late on Deadline Day to register any further permanent or loan signings. The Premier League officially confirms the 23:00 BST deadline.

When is the West Ham transfer deadline?

Premier League clubs have been able to complete deals since the summer window opened on Monday 15 June.

West Ham now have until 23:00 BST on Tuesday 1 September to finish their business before the window shuts.

That leaves the Hammers with a busy final few days as Nuno Espírito Santo continues reshaping his squad.

West Ham are considering Everton defender Michael Keane, with the Hammers looking at a move for the experienced centre-back.

Further departures could also shape what West Ham are able to do.

El Hadji Malick Diouf has been given permission to undergo a Brentford medical ahead of a proposed transfer worth up to £40million.

James Ward-Prowse is also closing in on a return to Southampton after West Ham agreed a deal in principle for the midfielder.

West Ham therefore have little time to complete those departures while adding the reinforcements Nuno wants before the deadline.

Any deals that are not completed before the registration deadline will normally have to wait until the January transfer window, making the coming days crucial for the Hammers.
