West Ham working on two more exits after fresh player decisions

West Ham exits for Edson Alvarez and Jean-Clair Todibo are moving closer as Nuno Espírito Santo reshapes his squad. Alvarez wants another move away and could leave on loan, while Todibo has reportedly said he will not play for the club again.

Claret & Hugh reports that Alvarez has made his desire to leave clear. West Ham are now working to find another temporary move for the Mexico international.

Alvarez spent last season on loan at Fenerbahçe before returning to east London. A proposed move to FC Köln has since stalled because the Bundesliga club cannot currently accommodate his salary.

The midfielder and West Ham are said to agree that a fresh start is required. A permanent sale may be preferred, but another loan could provide the most realistic route out before the transfer window closes.

Todibo’s situation is more difficult. No firm offer has arrived for the defender, despite his relationship with Nuno reportedly reaching the point of no return.

Todibo is claimed to have told Nuno that he would never play for him again following their disagreement towards the end of last season. The manager has also decided not to select the Frenchman, leaving little prospect of a first-team return.

ReadWestHam previously reported that West Ham could be forced to reconsider their refusal to loan Todibo. A temporary move containing an obligation to buy may now offer the clearest solution.

West Ham originally wanted a permanent sale to recover as much of their investment as possible. However, the absence of suitable offers has weakened their position.

The possible departures of Alvarez and Todibo form part of a major summer overhaul following relegation. Removing two senior salaries would provide greater room for Nils Koppen to recruit players committed to Nuno’s promotion campaign.

West Ham exits for Alvarez and Todibo now appear increasingly likely. The remaining challenge is finding clubs capable of meeting the financial terms required to complete both deals.
