West Ham have received an offer from Brentford for El Hadji Malick Diouf.
The bid for Malick Diouf has opened talks between the two London clubs, although the value of the proposal has not been disclosed.
Santi Aouna reports that discussions are continuing and several other clubs remain interested in the Senegal international. West Ham have not accepted the offer, leaving Diouf’s future unresolved as Nuno Espirito Santo reshapes his squad.

Diouf joined West Ham from Slavia Prague last summer and became a regular on the left side. His pace, delivery and ability to play as a full-back or wing-back made him one of the club’s more valuable young players despite relegation.
The 21-year-old also represented Senegal at the World Cup before receiving additional time away from club football. He is expected to return for pre-season, but Brentford’s approach could accelerate a decision over whether he remains part of the promotion campaign.
ReadWestHam recently argued that West Ham should resist selling Diouf unless an exceptional proposal arrives. The club have raised substantial funds through the departures of Mateus Fernandes and Crysencio Summerville, reducing the immediate pressure to approve another major sale.
Brentford can offer Diouf Premier League football and a short move across London. However, West Ham retain a strong negotiating position because the defender is tied to a long-term contract and has attracted interest from several clubs.
The amount offered by Brentford will therefore be important. West Ham must balance Diouf’s potential value in a Championship promotion push against the opportunity to make a significant profit after one season.
