West Ham add Girona winger Kim Min-su to summer shortlist

West Ham United are reportedly monitoring Girona winger Kim Min-su as Nuno Espírito Santo looks to strengthen his attacking options.

The 20-year-old has emerged on the club’s summer shortlist following an impressive loan spell with FC Andorra in Spain’s second tier.

No talks have started and West Ham are not believed to have made a formal approach. However, Girona journalist D.C.C reports that Min-su has caught the Hammers’ attention as recruitment work continues.

The South Korean is primarily a left winger but can also operate centrally or from the opposite flank.

He scored six goals and provided four assists during his loan campaign, registering 10 direct goal contributions and gaining valuable senior experience.

Min-su would be a long-term Summerville alternative

West Ham’s interest comes as Crysencio Summerville continues to attract attention from Roma and several Premier League clubs.

ReadWestHam reported that Roma have held talks with Summerville’s representatives but remain below West Ham’s valuation.

Min-su would not represent a direct replacement for Summerville’s proven output.

He has made only a handful of senior appearances for Girona and would need time to adapt to English football. His performances for Andorra nevertheless demonstrated strong one-against-one ability, direct running and an eye for goal.

Girona have long viewed Min-su as one of their leading academy prospects. He made his La Liga debut during the 2024/25 campaign and is under contract until 2027.

West Ham’s interest fits a broader attempt to identify younger players with significant resale potential.

The club still need attacking additions capable of contributing immediately during a Championship promotion campaign. Min-su would be a calculated investment rather than the finished article.

For now, he is one name on a growing shortlist. Summerville’s future could determine whether West Ham turn that interest into a serious approach.
