Rui Pedro Silva Set To Join Nuno At West Ham

Rui Pedro Silva is set to reunite with Nuno Espirito Santo at West Ham United in a significant boost to the club’s backroom structure.

Claret and Hugh report that Silva is expected to leave Wolves and join Nuno at the London Stadium, following an update from Telegraph reporter John Percy.

Silva has worked with Nuno before at Wolves and Nottingham Forest. His expected arrival gives West Ham a familiar voice beside the manager before pre-season moves too far.

Nuno Gets A Trusted No 2

This is a useful appointment for West Ham because of the relationship already in place.

Silva was part of Nuno’s staff during Wolves’ rise from the Championship into Europe, so he knows the pressure of promotion football and the rhythm of a long second-tier campaign.

West Ham needed a cleaner staff structure before August. ReadWestHam has already looked at how the early Championship fixture list has sharpened Nuno’s promotion deadline, and Silva’s expected arrival removes one obvious uncertainty.

It also appears to end Paco Jemez’s hopes of taking the assistant role. Jemez had hinted he was still waiting for clarity, but West Ham now look ready to back Nuno’s preferred setup.

For Nuno, this is more than a familiar appointment. It gives him the No 2 he trusts most before West Ham’s promotion campaign starts.
