Amanda Staveley West Ham Route Stalls As Kretinsky Control Grows

Amanda Staveley’s route into West Ham United now looks far more complicated after fresh reports claimed there are currently no shares available for purchase.

Claret & Hugh report that Staveley’s interest has stalled for a simple reason: access, not appetite. The former Newcastle United co-owner may still have credible interest, but West Ham’s current ownership structure does not appear to offer an obvious entry point.

That is the key detail for supporters. This is no longer just takeover noise around Staveley and Mehrdad Ghodoussi. It is now a boardroom story moving firmly back towards Daniel Kretinsky.

Kretinsky Story Matters More For Nuno

The immediate issue appears to be David Sullivan’s position. Claret & Hugh claim Sullivan has no intention of selling unless a pre-agreed Premier League valuation is met, while Kretinsky is expected to move beyond 42 per cent through the Gold family estate shareholding.

For West Ham, that matters beyond boardroom intrigue. Nuno Espirito Santo is trying to build a promotion squad after relegation, and ReadWestHam has already covered how a possible Kretinsky loan could shape West Ham’s transfer push.

Staveley’s interest may not be dead, but it looks blocked for now.

Sullivan’s shares are not believed to be available at a realistic Championship valuation, and Kretinsky’s influence appears increasingly central to the club’s summer reset.

The takeaway is blunt. Unless a major shareholder changes position, Staveley’s West Ham opening looks closed for now. Kretinsky’s control drive is the boardroom story that actually affects Nuno’s window.
